Town design
As Hyphy said. Everything is going to be planned out before it is put into the server.
My suggestion is we start planning a new city, like my old one Lapithos. This time, everything will be planned to the last block. (Note: I haven't talked to Hyphy about this. I hope by the time everything is completed which will be probably in a few weeks or more time we can start construction.)
The cities design will be based around ancient Greece/Rome/Egypt and Iran (Persia).
It will be a basic grid design like Ancient cities mainly were.
Possibly develop an Aqueduct. I am creating one in single-player and if it looks good and runs efficiently we could put one in.
Also an Arena like the Colosseum will be in towards the middle of the city for PVP. Just not as large.
It will have a Sewer System like the last city/town (whatever you wish to call it).
Plots will remain, but cost a certain amount of resources.
Meh, I'm not really going to proceed with the post until I get a few replies.

Re: Town design
Hey what was the name of the program you used to plan out your city in the old map? I was looking for it last night and wasn't able to find it. We wanted to make it pretty much like your town was, ie. planned out and like a grid.
But you already know my opinion about your ideas

I'm going to design things like City-walls, roads and such then post some pictures of them. Whatever gets the most votes will be implemented. Sound good?

Re: Town design
Sounds good. If you want you can actually start a thread with the link to Tiled in it. Everyone can design their own city and we'll have a vote like you're going to. Maybe like a little competition or something. I don't know, it's up to you
Re: Town design
Perhaps. I've just finished 2 samples of city walls. I'll upload them, and post it here.
What about the walls in your signature Concept. Want me to attempt them?

Wall Type (A/B):
The Walls are both 10 high, just for show. If you like one, but you want to change it a little. Post a reply and/or picture with your variation

Re: Town design
You should really make a section on how to use that program. <3
And Wall B looks simple and cool.

Re: Town design
Hey an aquaduct is similiar to like a boat ride or a log flume only that it is covered and at the softest incline. I am not sure that your city section isnt big enough though. I like wall B
